The Invest Plus company will start production at the former IKEA factory in the Novgorod region in the next 2-3 months. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the company.

Ikea Industry Novgorod LLC is the largest production site owned by IKEA in Russia. The venture includes a plant for the production of laminated chipboard (LDSP) and cabinet furniture factories.

The production capacity of the plant is more than 500 thousand cubic meters. m of polished chipboard, the cabinet furniture factory produces more than 7 million boxes of kitchen cabinets and furniture per year.

The new owner of the plant undertook to maintain the number of employees and working conditions at the enterprise for at least a year.

  • On March 24, IKEA completed the sale of a furniture factory in the Novgorod region to a co-owner of the Slotek company from St. Petersburg.
  • Luzales, a wood manufacturer from the Komi Republic, bought two more former IKEA factories in Tikhvin and Kirov.
