Then, over four years ago, police received a call that a gunman had killed his father and had taken his own family hostage. SWAT, arriving at the address, surrounded the house. The door was opened by 28-year-old unarmed Andrew Finch. They immediately demanded that he put his hands behind his head, but the man did not immediately obey and was subsequently shot dead.

Later, a police officer claimed that he opened fire because Finch suddenly reached for his belt. The man, on the other hand, fell victim to the amateurism of the special forces and a ridiculous mistake. The fact is that before the military operation in Call of Duty, two players argued – Casey Weiner and Shane Gaskill. The latter allegedly posted his address on the network and Weiner said that he could come to him for a showdown. The opponent decided to falsely call the police at this address through a friend. As you can imagine, Gaskill gave Finch’s address.

In March 2023, the city council accepted the Finch family’s claim for compensation. The victims received a payment of five million dollars. Finch is survived by his wife and two children. Weiner was sentenced to 15 months in prison and fined $2,500. Also, there is no right to run online games for two years.
