It is reported that the main purpose of the audit is to reveal how high quality and safe the domestic counterparts of carbonated beverages are compared to their foreign competitors.
According to Maxim Protasov, head of Roskachestvo, more than 60% of consumers said they have tried new Coke brands and 54% have switched to domestic counterparts. However, 28% of customers complained about the presence of a chemical flavor in the beverage and 25% complained that the taste was too sweet.
It is worth noting that the public has been discussing the quality of domestic Coca-Cola and Pepsi analogues for several years, although Roskachestvo began to talk about the tests only now.
Consumer reviews on the quality of domestic drinks differ, but many note that their domestic counterparts are more affordable.
