1 petabyte of storage would be enough to store 4K video for about 2.5 years. However, Samsung will not be releasing such SSDs in the near future. At the event, however, the company said its storage capacity will be increased to 1PB over the next decade.
To achieve such indicators, Samsung will need to improve physical and logical scaling. This means that the company will continue to shrink NAND cells by increasing the number of layers. Of course, Samsung needs to develop new manufacturing solutions for such a task.
