The move comes amid continued growth in the Chinese auto market as local manufacturers launch new brands. In 2022, Seres sold 80,000 Huawei Aito vehicles, an increase of more than six times over the previous year.

Chairman of the Board, Eric Xu, emphasized that the company does not aim to produce cars on its own, but to develop the cars of its partners.

Meanwhile, China is promoting the development of electric vehicles by providing subsidies and incentives for consumers and manufacturers.
