Analyst company Canalys has shared a report on the computer market in Europe for the 4th quarter of 2022.
Mac shipments dropped 22% from 1.8 million to 1.4 million units, according to the company. However, the situation in the PC market is even worse: collapsed for the quarter by 38.5%. Almost all brands have become larger than Apple.
Canalys links the current state to a variety of factors. Firstly, the demand for the entire pandemic is constantly growing on computers, the market has been oversaturated with offers. At the same time, there is a high percentage of US consumers and business presidents who would not need to be replaced for several years.
Secondly, growing inflation and mass structures played a big role. Third, rising interest rates have made PC leasing more expensive for businesses, inflated relative to the overall cost to the economy.
The company is confident that the Western European market consumes approximately 7% this year. [9to5]
