The introduction of restrictions on the development of artificial intelligence and neural networks was supported by half of Russians, the poll showed. Significant progress and investment in the industry can negatively affect the development of society and the labor market.

Limiting the development of AI and neural networks was supported by half of Russians

According to the survey, 72% of Russians consider artificial intelligence, neural networks and big data to be the most promising areas for professional development. The space industry and innovations in ecology are considered as such by only a quarter of those surveyed.

At the same time, 22% of respondents are convinced that there are not enough job offers in the IT market, and one in five are sure that IT pays too little.

Half of the respondents (50%) are in favor of imposing restrictions on the development of artificial intelligence and neural networks, since significant advances in these areas can negatively affect the development of society and the labor market. At the same time, 85% of Russians are watching the development of AI and neural networks, and 72% would like to work in these areas.

The survey, in which 10,000 adult respondents from all regions of Russia took part, was conducted by specialists of the Avito Rabota service.
