The State Duma considered and adopted in the first reading a report on the establishment of fines for communication operations for failure to install systems of operational-search activities (SORM). The amount of the turnover fine can be 2-50 million rubles or more.
Obviously, the law comes into force on January 1, 2024.
With the help of SORM, operators store telephone conversations, text messages, images, videos and other user data that can be increased by the sensitivity of the authorities by court order.
