The government approved an experiment to sell Russian wine online on the Russian Post website. The corresponding bill will be submitted to the State Duma.
The experiment is proposed to be carried out from November 1. Only Russian still, sparkling and fortified wines will be sold. The Ministry of Agriculture will draw up the list of producers admitted for sale.
The Russian Post will be the wine delivery operator. It will be possible to receive an order at the offices of Russian Post, or with delivery to a specific address no earlier than one day after placing the order. The recipient must present a passport or verify his identity through the “Gosuslugi”.
