Google has announced that it will discontinue three more security products from the company. Affected models are safety equipment dropcam This Secure Socketbesides the service Works with Nest.
The reason support has ended is because the company’s home products system and its subsidiaries are moving to a unified platform, Google Home, which is likely to have a new app soon.
Products will lose support on April 8, 2024which means it’s completely out of order. Works with Nest goes offline earlier in September 2023.
What should we do?
Users who have material stored in the memory of these devices are required to download the videos before this date in order to save the files. Anyone who owns one of the two products in the United States can get a $200 credit from the company to spend on devices from the Google Store, a home-built security system from partner company ADT, or even a Nest Cam camera.
The company will contact you via email to provide customers with more details on how to proceed to request a refund.
