After an intermediary for half a year, a large number of rumors about the iPhone 15 appeared on the network from various sources.

We analyzed them all and highlighted the most interesting from the most trusted insiders and analysts. Not the fact that all predictions will come true, but most of them for sure.

We figure out what to expect from the next line of smartphones.

1. More saturated background around the screen

One of the most popular

According to rumors, this will be best observed in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The top and side bezels are 1.61mm thick, while the bottom bezels are 1.55mm thick. This is a record in the smartphone market.

At the same time, the height and width of the smartphone also decrease, and the thickness increases by 0.4 mm.

2. Brand new buttons, one customizable

This is the most controversial innovation among insiders and analysts. Apple is said to be replacing physical blends with touch blends. They will be observed at home in iPhone 7/8.

At the same time, their work will be accompanied by the Taptic Engine. For haptic feedback 3D Touch (or integrate its closest equivalent).

However, not everyone is convinced that touchpads are available. Thus, analyst Ming-Chi Kur said that Apple encountered technical production problems when installing new innovations. The final decision is still unknown.

But what insiders exactly agree on is a new queue that will replace the silent mode lever. It is alleged that it will also be accompanied by a vibration response and will be configured. That is, it is allowed to “hang” various actions. However, it has not yet been specified which ones.

These two updates only happen on the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max.

3. Slightly modified design

According to insiders, the body of smartphones is growing slightly.

Firstly, the new “firmware” will have the same flat appearance, but rounded off at the edges. Because of this, the screen becomes similar to the Apple Watch Series 7 and Series 8.

Secondly, the Pro version has titanium side frames instead of steel ones. This will better help the body of the device from damage to the owners.

4. USB-C instead of Lightning

Rumors about this have been around for quite some time. Apple has been predicting a move to USB-C ever since the first iPad Pro.

To the point: Why USB-C on iPhone is better than Lightning. Let it be so than without ports at all

However, starting this year, a new application law on a single standard for charging comes into force. So it’s highly likely that Apple is indeed introducing the first iPhone with USB-C instead of Lightning. Perhaps this will be a feature of the Pro version.

Rumors vary and say that the new port receives either all models or only Pro models. According to the law, this should apply to all new iPhones. The result is already autumn.

5. New thick camera block

Apple has once again shown a new camera block for the upcoming lineup. According to rumors, all new iPhones are getting a 48-megapixel module.

However, the best hardware will be installed in the firmware. Tim Cook has already confirmed that the iPhone has been using Sony cameras for over 10 years. This year, the most advanced modules are being integrated.

To the point: The camera in the iPhone 15 should be a cut above. Found an iron proof from Tim Cook, everything fits

However, unfortunately, there is no exact data yet. There is a possibility that the Pro will receive a periscope module. The leaked renders show that the protrusion of the camera block has become 0.6 mm larger.

6. New body color

Apple wouldn’t be Apple if it didn’t change the colors of its devices every year.

This year, the company is expected to introduce the smartphone in a dark red hue with a color code of #410D0D.

7. New A17 Bionic Processor

It is expected to be installed only on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The company releases the A17 Bionic processor for the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max at the TSMC plant. Thanks to the new process technology, the A17 Bionic chip will be 35% more energy efficient than the A16 Bionic chip in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Therefore, the company has already booked all production lines at the Taiwan plant.

Judging by the first tests in Geekbench, the new chip scored 3019 points in single-core mode, and 7860 in multi-core mode. These are record results for a muscle processor.

According to the numbers, the A17 Bionic is 20.6% and 24% more powerful than the A16 Bionic in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

8. Dynamic Island cutout on all styles

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is confident that all iPhone 15 models will get the Dynamic Island cutout from the iPhone 14 Pro this year.

In this case, the sensor will be located next to the front camera and other Face ID components. On the iPhone 14 Pro, the sensor is protected and located outside of Dynamic Island. You won’t notice any external difference.

And even though this year it is planned to install OLED screens in all new iPhones that support ProMotion technology, providing a refresh rate of 120 Hz, only firmware will have it.

9. More RAM in Pro models

Apple has made it a habit to increase the amount of RAM every 2-3 generations. According to rumors, this year the company is going to do it again, and it seems to be true.

The amount of RAM in the iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max will grow from 6 GB to 8 GB. This may be the basis for the fact that the company is once again going to heavily pump the camera module, which requires more “RAM”.

It’s still a rumour, so treat it accordingly

Any of the above may be false. We have selected the most realistic ones from all the rumors, although there are some doubts about the Dynamic Island in all models.

Perhaps leaving the “bugs” for another year. And then the company will transfer it to cheaper models.

Officially, the presentation of the Cupertino players has not yet been announced, but we will stick to it in the fall in September-October, as is usually the case.
