Now I will explain how I came to such a life.
I fall asleep with headphones on as an old habit after the birth of my son. I use JBL wireless “droplets” with wires between them. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to AirPods Pro for a long time. They are more convenient for me, they do not block the cable, charging is convenient, and so on.
One problem: the headphones are a little pitiful. I can crush “gags” for 20 thousand at night, lose them somewhere in the hospital, or simply ruin them with many hours of contact with my ears pressed to the pillow. Therefore, although I use AirPods Pro 2nd generation every day, I do not risk sleeping in them.
For a significant share for the sake of a stake (and an article, to be honest) I got on the Internet and bought the latest “clone” AirPods Pro the second generation to sleep in them and not to bathe in case of possible breakdowns. Plus, it was interesting what they used from themselves.
Well, here it is.
Looking ahead, I’ll say: this miracle Yudo is definitely worth its 1,400 rubles. I just don’t recommend cheating. Be that as it may, it was not a copy, in fact and in the collection of this Chinese rubbish with massive curvature and problems.
What launched the AirPods Pro I bought
called Hoco EW51. “Ugh” translated from English as “Ugh”, the expression is used as a comment on some muck or stink. Respect for self-irony.
In the hierarchy of countless Chinese AirPods clones, this model is considered almost at the highest level in terms of technology and modernity. You can find a better option for them, but it is extremely difficult, and the difference will be assessed more towards a suitable imitation of the appearance of the original than the level of technology and quality.
Hoco EW51 doesn’t hide much. The box is similar to the original except with a distance of 50 meters. There is a HOCO logo, and a different design on the sides. It can be seen that their (at least in these clothes) sex is not for divorcing people on Avito And AliExpress, but for Chinese “slag” clearly defined in the views of buyers. Also respect: he knows for sure that he bought “muck”.
By the way, the inside of the box stinks a lot. This is three respects in a row, I will run out of all respects so soon.
What’s included with Hoco EW51
In general, everything is the same as with the heavy AirPods Pro 2. Only completely paper ones are already “Chinese”, the lining is rudely unpretentious, and for some reason the 8-pin cable with the usual USB-A instead of USB-C.
With nozzles embarrassment. The AirPods Pro 2 has a new, fourth pair of ear pads – size XS. But the Chinese did not bother in stock, so there is no difference between the S and XS landings in the implementation. They are caring. No doubt, and so it will do.
Is there a difference between AirPods Pro 2 clones and the original?

On the back of the Hoco EW51 case, it says in black and white – EW51 (fourth respect for honesty). The lid is more loose. On the inside, they repeated the serial number and inscriptions, like real “pods”. It’s just that they were applied too evenly. Found where to be careful.
The case otherwise does not differ externally from the original. And no, it doesn’t load real AirPods Pro. But it also supports wireless charging. Only there is no MagSafe magnet inside, or it is very weak. There is also no tablet support for the Apple Watch.
Also the quality of the headphone joints, soft to say wish for the best. There are no holes between them, but everything is made rougher than the original ones.
Still, the nozzles are not put on until the very end. But that’s a nitpick, it works fine.
How are fake AirPods Pro 2 doing with sound quality?
Wow! Fire. Haven’t checked this crap in a long time.
Or not, okay. If you compare AirPods Pro 2 with similar copies, then the difference is simply cosmic. These are two different worlds of quality performance, even if you are not a super-mega geek and at the same time an audiophile.
Hoco EW51 sounds like their the listener was lowered into the sink or worse. Everything is very “underwater”, “uterine”. Because of this, it makes no sense to talk about some kind of frequencies, detail, “scene”. But the level of the Chinese sound of plugs at a price of up to 3 thousand rubles is observed here. Boom-boom in place, like a thousand-thousand. Adjusted for cost, the aquarium effect can be forgiven.
Similarly, all system headphones are “recessed” – connecting to devices, fast battery discharge, and so on. The charging start sound played through the case speaker is very tired and wheezing, as if imitating a device assembler. I would like to regret.
In short, if someone tells you that the fake 2nd generation AirPods Pro “sound as good as the original ones”, then this is either a joke or compensation. Either a person urgently needs an ENT.
What do fake AirPods Pro 2 have with noise reduction and Transparency mode?
Both modes officially work. Level noise reduction lagged behind the current scheme of this technology by seven years, if not more. For some reason, it drowns out some sounds normally, while others are completely annoying. Quieter with it than without it. But it is not even close to the first “bugs”, not to mention the second ones.
Transparency Mode extremely sad, and not least because of the very “underwater” sound of the acoustics themselves. You can practice snorkeling with it, if you put on swimming goggles – it will turn out really realistic, no helmet of realistic reality is needed.
Other mode The ambient sounds in the headphones are played with a delay in relation to the real ones. So you can use the population only through force or as a punishment.
You can make fun of the many features in the Chinese loss for a long time, but one cannot be taken away from them: they action And work for the price of headphones in three kopecks. And this is very rare for any non-cloned “plugs” up to 3 thousand rubles.
Are fake AirPods Pro 2 good at mimicking the original in iOS?
Very. For this parameter, students can write five points. And the fifth for the fact that, despite the complete imitation of all possible connection screens, they display with thresholds as fake. This is the cherry on top of Hoco’s candor cake.
The initial screens, the final connection window, the menu in the settings, even the “support” of Spatial audio – everything is there, not even to find fault.
Hoco EW51 is also visible in Latitude. Only the exact search function is not available.
The earbuds seamlessly connect to iPhone, Mac, and even switch between each other using the same logic as the original AirPods. Yes, they do it two or three times slower than the original ones – but they do it.
In the end. Who in their right mind knows how to buy it and use it without shame
With all your flaws and observations, Hoco EW51 can be recommended to those who:
▪ wants real AirPods Pro (but can’t)
▪ looking for an option on how to sleep with headphones
▪ wants something like AirPods Pro, but without pity for them
▪ doesn’t know if real AirPods Pro will be comfortable to wear
▪ for some reason decided that in this way he would “wipe his nose” to those who “overpaid” for the original
You can also take them to your child and check how quickly he will destroy the “pods” or lose them. Perhaps so, I will conduct a test drive before acquiring the original ones.
In general, and from a purely useful point of view, the chosen clone of the 2nd generation AirPods Pro from Hoco is worth the money. No pity! You can sleep. They work just like the originals. There is some kind of sound, you can click the modes. Yes, objectively everything worries.
But… they cost everything 1400 rubles. Kamon.
I used them for a week as night headphones and did not regret it. And then my colleagues in the office bought it from me. Now I’m sitting and thinking about ordering another one. Let them be.
