According to him, the chip will receive Cortex-X4 cores with a GPU frequency of 900 MHz and a clock frequency of 3.4 GHz. At the same time, the next generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processors are expected to be based on TSMC’s N3E technology.
An online source has stated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 gets the model number “SM8650” and the internal name Lanai or Pineapple.
The processor has a 2+3+2+1 architecture consisting of titan, silver, gold and gold+ ARM cores. But due to the lack of corresponding CPU cores, the chipset does not support 32-bit Android apps and games, which means developers have to update their apps for 64-bit architecture.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored an impressive 1800 points in the single-core test and 6500 in the multi-core tests in the Geekbench 5 test.
At the same time, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 scored 2070 in the single-core test and 9100 in the multi-core test, surpassing the Apple M2 computer processor.
