In the image shared by the site you can see the YouTube Music icon highlighted in the player window, to the left of the autoplay button. When you tap on it, the song whose video is playing will open in the music service and play from the beginning.
However, the stream application must be installed on the smartphone in order to show the music listening recommendation on YouTube Music to the user. It was not disclosed whether the shortcut appears only for those who subscribe to the platform, or whether it is shown to everyone, including the free version.
When does it come to everyone?
In addition to the button in the player window, the user may be prompted to open the audio streaming application in two more areas of YouTube. One of them is “You want audio only?” just below the option. and can be triggered by tapping “Open”.
The other appears in the floating menu of the player. Pressing the down arrow shows the “Listen to YouTube Music” option at the end of the list with alternatives to change the video quality, enable subtitles and enable other features.
Apparently, the new shortcut is only available to selected users. There is currently no information on when it will be released to the general public.
