WhatsApp Beta is testing a new text editor for images on the iPhone version. The new feature brings an overhauled interface inspired by the current model on Instagram Stories.
Although the tool is still simple, the new interface makes the user experience more intuitive and easier to use. Buttons for each feature are arranged on the screen and fonts are displayed next to the keyboard.
The new text editor began development in January and rolled out to some testers on Android in March. Now the functionality is also released in beta version of iOS 23.8.0.73, but some users can get the same feature after installing the previous version, 23.8.0.71.
What has changed in the WhatsApp text editor?
One of the main changes in the text editor, choose different fontscan be selected by touching one of the options above the keyboard. This makes it easy to customize the text. Also added new fonts like Calistoga, Courier Prime, Damion, Exo 2 and Morning Breeze.
Another innovation is the alignment option, which lets you choose whether the text is aligned left, center, or right. This option gives you more control over word formatting in images, videos, and GIFs. The new editor also offers the option to change the background color of the text, making it easier to distinguish important passages.
