Efko, a maker of sauces and vegetable oils, will buy the rights to the Pyshka margarine brand from Dutch company Upfield, an Efko representative told RB.RU.

Baking margarine “Pyshka” from vegetable oils began to be produced at the Efko plant in Evdakovo, Voronezh region in 2023 under a license agreement.

It is planned to issue a full transfer of rights to the brand in two to three months. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

According to information from Kommersant, Efko intends to increase Pyshka’s market share to 15% of all margarines. As a result, the group intends to occupy close to 80% of the premium segment of the category.

You can buy Pyshka in large federal networks, such as Auchan, Lenta, Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, Magnit, Okay, Perekrestok, in local and retail networks. In total, the brand is represented in more than 50 Russian regions.

“Pyshka” margarine appeared on the Russian market in 2000.

Efko produces sauces and vegetable oils in Russia under the brands Sloboda, Altero, Dobavkin margarines, Dobry Pekar, vegetable alternatives to meat Hi! and dairy products.
