OpenAI has made changes in accordance with the requirements of the Office for the Protection of Personal Data, writes The Verge.

The company has published a new form for EU users to delete personal data in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The OpenAI statement also talks about a new system to verify the age of users when registering in Italy.

  • Italy at the end of March 2023 banned Internet users from accessing the ChatGPT neural network. The national regulator accused OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, of breaching the security of sensitive data.
  • The agency said that ChatGPT will be banned until OpenAI complies with EU law on the protection of personal data. OpenAI faced a fine of €20 million or 4% of annual global turnover for non-compliance.
