The company has reportedly already cut free food options in its offices by removing chips, fruit, desserts, cakes and candies from the menu.
This was one of the measures aimed at reducing costs. Earlier, Google started saving on office supplies and fitness services for employees.
According to the manager of one of the Google offices in San Francisco, the IT giant has removed some products from its free food range. Products that have disappeared include onion chips, muffins, dried mangoes and M&Ms.
Atlantic points out that reducing the offer of free meals in offices is one of Google’s cost-cutting measures. Previously, the company had announced its intention to save on office supplies such as staples and tape, as well as convenience for employees.
Note that other large IT companies have also taken unpopular measures to cut costs.
