The launch was broadcast live, but at 59 seconds of the countdown, the launch manager canceled the launch. The reasons were not disclosed at first, but later SpaceX experts explained that the Falcon Heavy launch was canceled due to strong lightning that literally hit the rocket and the launch pad.

The launch was scheduled for 02:29 Moscow time from Cape Canaveral, Florida. An hour ago, a Falcon 9 launch vehicle with O3b mPOWER satellites was successfully launched into space.

And if the second launch were to happen, SpaceX would break the record for two launches in one day.

Falcon Heavy’s next launch could take place at least a day later.
