This ambitious goal is part of NASA’s Artemis program, under which SpaceX is contracted. However, Starship’s recent test flight ended when it exploded in the sky over the Gulf of Mexico. However, Nelson noted that the explosion “was not a major problem for SpaceX” and SpaceX was adequately equipped to restart once repairs to the runway and other rockets were completed.

Despite the failure of the explosion, Nelson is confident in SpaceX’s ability to complete the project on time and says it will do everything possible to ensure that the next astronauts on the moon are American.
