Company representatives noted that it has improved the display of background images and simplified access to key parts of the menu. At the same time, Microsoft previously stopped testing the previous version of this interface for improvement.
In the latest version of the Xbox Home UI, the tiles with apps and games have been moved lower – this way designers have made room for background images. The tiles have also been reduced in size, and a new feature to update the background when hovering over certain games and apps makes the design even more appealing.
At the top of the interface is now a drop-down menu that provides quick access to games and apps library, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, search and settings.
This menu allows users to quickly navigate to their games without having to navigate through standard Xbox sections.
The test is available to Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha Xbox Insider members. It is not known how soon the full version of this update will be released.
