In the new study, researchers followed 18,154 adults without dementia for several years. On average, this observation lasted 7.9 years and a maximum of 17.1 years. During this follow-up period, 4.68% of the participants developed dementia.
But with regular internet use, the risk of dementia is reduced by about 50% compared to when people rarely use the internet. This relationship existed regardless of education level, race, gender, generation.
