There was an incident in April that resulted in Circle’s private tweets appearing in random users’ feeds. Even those who did not follow the affected accounts could see these private tweets.

Twitter recently sent users an email acknowledging the issue and confirming that the bug has been fixed. As reported in the letter, the security service “immediately identified and fixed the problem.”

To that end, Twitter conducted an investigation and voiced privacy concerns it may have caused. They emphasized their commitment to protecting user privacy and understanding the risks associated with such incidents.
