A memo written by Bob McPhail, assistant general counsel at Disney’s subsidiary ABC Signature, says show producers must continue to fulfill their duties even as the WGA tries to punish them.

WGA criticized the memo, saying it pressured the show’s producers to choose a company over a union.

Recall that while the screenwriters’ strikes continue, the WGA forbids its members from providing any writing services.

It is unclear how the situation will develop, but it is clear that there is tension between Disney and WGA.
