Waze attended Google I/O for the first time this Wednesday (10), bringing new news to users. Waze updates expand possibilities for Android Auto users. Now, navigation app will support electric vehicles and can be used in vehicles with Google Embedded.

For drivers driving electric cars, the app is available on Android Auto, Google Embedded and Apple Carplay. Back in March, Waze had already rolled out support for mobile apps.

Software users will see information about charging stations. In addition, it will be possible to know where to find them and also if they are the right type for each car or add-on.

updates Already available for Brazilian drivers. In a few months, more stations will appear, with verification by the Waze Community in Brazil.

Another innovation that Waze presented at Google I/O App availability for all tools with Google Built-in. The solution promises to facilitate real-time visualization of routes and alerts with the display integrated into the vehicle, without the need for a smartphone.

Despite the update, the software will not yet be available on all vehicles with the Android Automotive system, including Google.

Finally, Waze has released a help for developers: Professionals interested in building experiences built into Android Auto will have access to the Android Car Application Library (CAL) case study. It will be possible to see how the job of building the app from scratch goes until Google Embedded Google Automotive Services.
