URB announced the creation of a new settlement with the head of Dubai as part of a major scientific and infrastructure project called the Dubai Reefs Urn. On an area of 199 sq. km, an artificial reef zone will be created in which billions of living corals and mangroves will be evicted. This reef marks the boundaries of the future settlement, which are built on floating platforms.
The project has three tasks. First, a new ocean exploitation project will operate here. Secondly, the population should become a model for gathering a completely self-sufficient city with a level zero nearby.
