“Most people get headaches because of tension,” Evdokimov said. Migraines also cause a lot of trouble, and sometimes pain occurs after injuries. “If you fall and hit your head, you may get a headache later on.”

But even more worrying is that headaches can be linked to more serious illnesses like cancer. In this case, the symptoms of the disease may gradually increase.

“Even if the person doesn’t always realize the problem, only pain relievers don’t work with time. By the time it becomes obvious something is wrong, it’s usually too late,” the specialist said.

The doctor urged all of us not to ignore these signals and to be tested if the pain increases.
