Tesla has introduced an update to its Optimus humanoid robots: they can now walk without tripping and pick up objects. The unveiling of the robots was filmed at the Cybertruck electric vehicle assembly plant as a hint that that is where the robots will be produced.

Tesla trained his humanoid robot Optimus to walk and pick up objects

Elon Musk at the Tesla shareholders’ meeting presented an update on the Optimus humanoid robots. The Verge writes about it.

Optimus can now walk without tripping and pick up items. The video also shows an updated configuration of the manipulator: the robot was able to break a chicken egg so that its contents would not leak out.

Tesla trains robots with the help of a human surrogate. Optimus repeats the movements and thus learns to correctly handle objects and move his limbs.

According to Elon Musk, robots will help solve the problem of staff shortages in manufacturing companies. According to the billionaire, the demand for robots can be up to 20 billion pieces a year.
