The “Remit” meat processing plant will produce sausages and other meat products under the “Toblerone” brand. The company sent an application for registration of the corresponding trademark to Rospatent.
The plant’s representative confirmed to Vedomosti the plans for the production of such sausages. According to him, the product will not be round, as usual, but triangular.
He said this isn’t the first time Remit has resorted to catchy, provocative names, as that approach attracts a buyer. This avoids additional investments.
Previously, the company has already filed applications for the registration of the Cabernet Svignon brand, which is intended for the federal chain of alcoholic beverage stores. Remit also requested Wi-Fi, Doctor’s and the Point, and Bacon and the Point.
The Remit plant is located in Podolsk, the company produces more than 300 types of products. The business is owned by Vladimir Konozakov and Rustem Mukhametshin. The company ended last year with a net profit of 1.9 billion rubles.
The rights to the Toblerone brand are owned by the American company Kraft Foods until 2027.
