According to cardiologist Irina Polyaeva, this disease has many causes. For example, it can be heredity, aging, malnutrition and excess weight.

Do not ignore a sedentary lifestyle, constant stress, smoking and alcohol and other chronic diseases. According to statistics, about one out of every three people suffer from hypertension.

Polyaeva pointed out that hypertension is also dangerous because it can lead to serious health problems. For example, it can damage the kidneys and cause kidney failure.

It can also damage the small blood vessels in the eyes and cause blurred vision or even blindness.

The doctor explained that hypertension often occurs without symptoms and that people do not suspect they have high blood pressure. However, symptoms such as frequent headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing or vision problems, especially in the back of the head, should be a clue that you should go for a checkup.

Recall that, according to medical workers, almost 40% of the population in Russia today suffers from arterial hypertension. Most often, the disease manifests itself in men (53.3%) of the male population, less often in women (37.7% of the female population of the Russian Federation).
