In their latest survey, the Kaspersky Lab team discovered that our little electronic friends cause us anxiety and worry.

Who knew that more than a third (37%) of those surveyed were prone to some sort of apocalypse – watching and reading mostly bad news, even though it was scary and depressing? A very strange way to spend your free time.

Another 30% experience anxiety when they forget or cannot find their smartphones. At the same time, the “highlight” of the survey was that 36% of respondents admitted to having experienced ghost calls.

This was when the phone rang or a message came to you, but in fact, nothing like that was even close.

Kaspersky Lab warned that attackers are using such fears to their advantage. For example, by scaring people off they lose their money or access to their accounts and then encourage them to act recklessly.
