There is no official WhatsApp app for iPad. However, this does not mean that the chat service cannot be used on a tablet at all. You can still chat on WhatsApp by crossing a road.
If you are going to use this method, it is important to understand that WhatsApp is not designed for use on iPad, in short certain functions such as sending voice messages will not work. On the other hand, sending and receiving messages works perfectly and in our opinion makes this work worthwhile. At the same time, you cannot use WhatsApp on your smartphone and tablet at the same time. To use WhatsApp you need a SIM card with a phone number. Not every tablet has the correct entry for it and you are not allowed to use the same phone number on two different devices. There is still no official app for iPad. Earlier this year, Apple said it was working on it.

WhatsApp ‘setup’
Therefore, you cannot officially install WhatsApp on your iPad yet. All you can do is open the web interface in Safari (or any other browser app). You do this by browsing web.whatsapp.com. You will notice that you can no longer access the web interface, but on the WhatsApp home page this is because the mobile page loads. hold the button Refresh at the top to install the desktop version, then you will see the correct page. You can also add a shortcut to web.whatsapp.com to your iPad’s home screen so it looks like you have WhatsApp installed as an app on your tablet.
You do this by clicking Partsicon at the bottom of the screen. choose option Put it on home screen and give the shortcut a name. then you choose Add†
Connect WhatsApp
On this page you will see a QR code. You need to scan this code with your smartphone to connect this web version of WhatsApp to the WhatsApp version on your smartphone. You do this by pressing WhatsApp on your smartphone. Settings / WhatsApp Web / Desktop and then pressing the bottom Scan the QR code† When you scan the QR code on your iPad, the page will reload on your iPad and you will be able to use WhatsApp on your iPad.
Unofficial Apps
The Apple Store also has several apps for iPad that emulate WhatsApp. You can then continue to send messages to other WhatsApp users via an app. Despite this, many third-party apps still work based on the web version of WhatsApp, so they don’t really have any added value. Also, you will often see annoying ads. Therefore, we do not recommend such applications.
Of course, you can try other chat apps if WhatsApp is not working well on your tablet. For example, Telegram is a good alternative that works by default on your tablet. Facebook Messenger is also good for chatting on your iPad, but you need a Facebook account for that.
This trick also applies to laptops, of course. Did you know that you can install WhatsApp on your PC or laptop? This way, you can easily type your messages from your keyboard; this would undoubtedly work much better than your smartphone screen. Especially in long messages.
