You can expect another major update for Windows 11 in the second half of this year. While Microsoft focuses on increasing productivity, the operating system will also work better on tablets. What exactly can we expect from Sun Valley 2 or the 22H2 update?
Microsoft is currently working hard on the new version of Windows. This will be the first major update for Windows 11, and if you’re a member of the Windows Insider Program, you can get started right away.
new functions
You can expect some new features as well as various improvements and fewer bugs in the user environment. For example, the start menu is getting an overhaul and you can put multiple apps in a single folder just like in Windows 10. This means you’ll find all your games or Office tools in one place right on the start menu.
You will also be able to adjust how many pinned apps you see in the start menu. For example, you can choose an extra line of applications or one line less. Based on this, the following columns also change. Suggested.
The taskbar is also addressed. After a short while you can drag the files back to the taskbar to make a shortcut. This has been possible for years in older versions of the Windows operating system, but the current version does not have this feature.

Touch screen
You can also switch between your favorite functions faster by expanding the touchscreen options. For example, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the start menu, or swipe down from the top-right corner to see the settings.
While a three-finger swipe down minimizes apps, you can similarly swipe left or right to switch between open apps.
Traveler
File Explorer is still a must-have app on Windows. Microsoft is noticing this and is making some nice improvements to the tool. For example, Explorer takes tabs so you can open multiple folders in a single window, just like in a browser.
Clipchamp and Family Safety
Version 22H2 also comes with two new apps called Clipchamp and Family Safety. The second is a web app that provides an instant overview of all your family activities. Along with other tools for monitoring your home, consider pointing your kids to upcoming events on your collective calendar. This is especially useful as it can also connect to other computers, Xbox consoles and Android devices.
Clipchamp lets you edit videos. The app is basically free to use, but it also offers subscriptions that give you a little more editing options.
When will the update come?
The 22H2 update is the first major feature update to Windows 11 since October 2021, when the operating system was first made available. Windows 10 got such a big update twice a year, Windows 11 once.
Microsoft is expected to release the 22H2 from September. Not everyone will get the update at the same time, but you can at least more or less expect it during this time.
