Being anonymous on a platform where social interaction is important can feel a little crazy. You don’t do that on Facebook and Twitter, do you? The biggest difference is, of course, that these platforms do not give notifications every time your profile is visited.

For example, if you’re visiting the profiles of employees at a competing company and don’t want to give the impression that you’re applying for a job, there may be good reasons to remain anonymous on LinkedIn. And as an employer, you may not want to approach you every time you visit a profile.

Whatever the reason, you can choose to remain anonymous on LinkedIn.

To do this, go to the LinkedIn website and click on your profile icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen. Choose here Settings and privacy and then for visibility In the menu on the left of the screen. You will find it just above Options for viewing profiles. There are three options in this menu. In first choice, Your name and titleYour name and occupation will be fully displayed to the person whose profile you are visiting.
