Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is official: it is the new Chinese folding

Xiaomi has enough and much of the Chinese market to compete in the mobile scene, and on August 14 introduced for its local geography of a competitor Galaxy Z Add 5He Mix Add 3.

This foldable smartphone is even thinner than its predecessor, measuring just 5.26mm when unfolded and 10.89mm when folded. Xiaomi engineers have developed a new vertical motherboard that has helped to reduce the size of the phone.

Xiaomi has also developed a brand new branded hinge, consisting of 198 components and taking up 17% less internal space. The new hinge features a 3-piece stenosis and 14 micro-hinges that fit into the main folding screen for added strength, as well as a carbon ceramic steel swivel mechanism. The new Mix Fold 3 also supports 45°-135° floating opening, allowing you to support your phone like a mini laptop.

Xiaomi says the Mix Fold 3 has been tested to 500,000 folds, far exceeding Samsung’s promised 200,000 folds for the Z Fold 5.

The Mix Fold 3 has two E6 OLED displays. The 8.03-inch LTPO main panel has a resolution of 1960 x 2160 pixels and a variable refresh rate of 120Hz. The panel is made from ultra-thin glass (UTG) and offers support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The 6.56-inch outdoor LTPO OLED display is covered with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and offers maximum brightness of up to 2560 nits in auto mode.

Moving on to the cameras, Xiaomi has equipped the Mix Fold 3 with a quad-camera system and Leica optics. There is an 800MP Sony IMX50 main camera (23mm equivalent) with OIS, as well as a 12MP ultra-wide-angle module (15mm equivalent). Zoom shots are processed by a 10-megapixel (75mm) telephoto lens with 3x zoom and a 10-megapixel (115mm) periscope module with up to 5x optical zoom. Both telephoto lenses are equipped with OIS.

The Mix Fold 3 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is used in the latest foldable phones from Samsung and Motorola. It also has a quad-camera setup, a 4800mAh battery with support for wired and wireless ultra-fast charging.
