TCL announced this Tuesday (29) two new mobile phones with NxtPaper technology. New TCL 40 NxtPaper and 40 NxtPaper 5G Promises a better “paper-like” viewing experience and provides greater comfort to the eyes.

NxtPaper technology is hardly new to TCL consumer electronics. Announced in 2020, the product was developed to be a part of an ecosystem that includes tablets and brand laptops as well as announced mobile phones.

In new smartphones, The company has TÜV certification for blue light and a sensor that automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature based on the environment.. The new screens also prevent glare and promise to prevent fingerprints while navigating.

In addition to a paper-like matte texture on mobile screens, there are also software improvements. According to the company, the NxtPaper UI interface is designed for users to define the appearance as if they had a color manga or a black and white screen in their hands.

Another highlight is the T-Pen, a separately sold pen that can be used across devices to take notes, draw and more.

TCL’s new display technology is available on both phones. The TCL 40 NxtPaper features a 6.78-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. It has a “hole” for the camera at the top and has a slightly more creative design than the 5G version of the product.

Equipped with a Helio G88 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, the vehicle promises regular performance. Its battery has a capacity of 5,010 mAh and a 33-watt fast charger.

In terms of cameras, the smartphone has three sensors: the main 50 MP, 5 MP wide-angle and 2 MP for macro photography. There is a 32MP camera for selfies.

Other mobile extras include a side fingerprint reader (also 5G model), P2 (3.5mm) headphone jack, hybrid slot for microSD and carrier chips, and stereo sound with DTS technology. .

The main feature of TCL 40 NxtPaper 5G is its compatibility with fifth generation mobile networks. Not only that, it also has a different look, with its smaller 6.6-inch screen and HD+ resolution (90 Hz) with “droplet” cutouts.

This is a model that seems even more fundamental, given that the focus is also on being competitive. Its hardware is equipped with a Dimensity 6020 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage; it also has a hybrid slot and accepts expansion via microSD cards.

The battery, which has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, supports 15 W chargers.
