Scheduled for early 2024 Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra may launch with up to 2TB internal space options. The alleged innovation was suggested by the informant revenge In a post on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the source, There’s no word on whether the premium smartphone model will have 12GB of RAM or more.. But the large storage model needs to meet the creators’ requirements.

Expanding on the extremes, the informant states: Samsung is also working on producing a version of the Galaxy S24 Ultra with only 128GB of internal space.. At a more affordable price, the device would have 8 GB of RAM.

For some analysts, this supposed configuration would be a “throwback” for the South Korean brand’s flagship device. This is because The simplest version of the current Galaxy S23 Ultra launches with 8GB of RAM and 256GB.

Considering the technical aspects, Samsung does not manufacture 128GB high-speed storage components in the UFS 4.0 standard. However, the S24 Ultra, which is supposed to have smaller internal space, will adopt a “slower” piece of UFS 3.1.

Different interior space options will be Samsung's strategy to reach new audiences.

Serving different audiences

Seems like, The 128GB version of the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be Samsung’s strategy to offer a “super-premium” device at a low price. As a result, more users may consider purchasing the traditionally priced smartphone.

In other words, consumers who want more storage will pay an “extra price” for 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB options. That way, the brand would have a premium device that would serve different audiences (and budgets)..

Now, Revegnus’ disclosures should still be treated as rumors. Until the launch of the Galaxy S24 series early next year, Samsung may change its product strategies.
