With the launch of the iPhone 15 series, users who want to update their Apple mobile phones but are not looking for the newest model are turning to second-hand or second-hand devices. In the period before the arrival of the newOLX saw an increase in iPhone 13 Mini sales and iPhone 14 searches.

The OLX research also takes into account the Apple mobile phone models that will receive the iOS 17 operating system, and compares July and August, when the beta version started to be released.

According to OLX, sales of the iPhone 13 Mini have increased by 60% in the last two months compared to May and June. Even if, iPhone 12 continued to take first place among the best-selling and advertised products. There was also a 56% increase in searches for the 2022 model iPhone 14.

“When a new model is released, we notice a movement in the second-hand market; some people sell their devices to buy a new one, while others take the opportunity to buy an iPhone at a more affordable price,” explained General Regina Botter. Director of Automobiles and Products at OLX Brasil.

The price of used iPhone models varies greatly. The cheapest devices are the iPhone SE 2022, which sells for just over R$ 1,000, and the iPhone XS, which sells for around R$ 1,300. The most expensive models include the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro for R$ 6,500 and R$ 6,000 respectively.
