Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro were finally introduced this Tuesday (26). The company’s two launches offer good performance, IP68 protection and up to four Android updates.

The composition of the duo is quite interesting and they compete in slightly different markets. Xiaomi 13T is powered by Dimensity 8200-Ultra processor with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM. Xiaomi 13T Pro has Size 9200+ and is sold with 12 GB or 16 GB RAM options.

On the screen, both are the same: a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits at Full HD + resolution (2712 x 1220). The battery of the line is 5,000 mAh, but the only model that supports 120W fast charging is the 13T Pro model; The standard model supports up to 67W.

Xiaomi 13T cameras

Xiaomi acted more economically regarding the resolution of the main camera of the duo. Instead of focusing on a 200 MP sensor, the manufacturer has equipped the lineup with 1/1.28-inch 50 MP lenses with optical image stabilization (OIS) and f/1.9 aperture.

The secondary sensor, intended for telephotography, also has a 50MP resolution and f/1.9 aperture, but with a 50mm lens. The third camera, the ultra-wide camera, has 12 MP, 15 mm and f / 2.2 aperture.

The duo’s selfie camera is also the same: a 20 MP sensor.

Storage Options

As always, internal storage varies depending on the model chosen. The options will be:

  • Xiaomi 13T: 8 GB or 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
  • Xiaomi 13T Pro: 12 GB RAM + 256 GB or 16 GB RAM with 512 GB storage and 1 TB storage.

Long support time

Xiaomi promises to deliver up to four system updates and five years of security updates to the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro. That’s the same number of updates Samsung has guaranteed for the Galaxy S23, and one more than the number of updates Google has rolled out to its Pixel series so far.

Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro will be sold in blue, green or black.

However, it is also worth noting that the Xiaomi 13T series is sold with Android 13, hence last year’s system. One of the updates is definitely for Android 14, which is expected to be released this year.

Price and availability

Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro were first launched in Europe. The most basic model costs around $669 (R$3,300 in direct conversion), while the Pro version retails for $790 (R$3,900).

For now, there is no prediction about the duo’s release in Brazil.
