The day after Christmas and perhaps thinking about the markets where the Three Wise Men are celebrated, Huawei officially presented its series Nova 12: Includes Ultra and Pro models, plus regular and Lite models.

Huawei Nova 12

Huawei nova 12 features a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with a resolution of 2412×1084 pixels, an under-mount fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, and a central punch-hole for a 60MP ultra-wide-angle selfie camera (100° viewing angle). It also supports 1B colors and has a wide range of P3 colors.

The rear panel houses an elliptical camera island with LED flash, laser focus sensor, a 50MP main camera (with RYYB color filter array) and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera (112° viewing angle).

Huawei nova 12 works Harmony OS 4 ready to use and has two storage options: 256GB and 512GB. Huawei has not mentioned the nova 12 processor on its website, but it is said to be a Kirin 830 processor.

Other features of the Huawei nova 12 include a 4600mAh battery with 100W charging, USB-C and NFC. It also has the claimed ability of “bionic breathing fluid cooling pulsating thermal conductivity” that improves heat dissipation by 60 times.

Huawei Nova 12 Lite

The nova 12 Lite has a thinner profile (6.88mm vs 6.98mm), lighter weight (168g vs 191g), smaller battery (4500mAh vs 4600mAh) and slower charging (66W vs 100W). IN).

The nova 12 Lite also features a Snapdragon 778G processor and a 50MP primary camera without RYYB color filter array, along with a different rear panel design.

Huawei nova 12 and nova 12 Lite are available in the same colors and storage options. Huawei Nova 12 Ultra and Pro

Huawei nova 12 Ultra is built on a 6.76-inch LTPO OLED with a screen refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a resolution of 2776 × 1224 pixels. It is compatible with 1B colors and has a wide range of P3 colors. The display is protected by Kunlun Glass and has a pill-shaped notch in the center for two cameras: a 60 MP ultra-wide-angle (100° viewing angle and autofocus), which is joined by an 8 MP module (2x optical zoom) for photos.

The back panel of the nova 12 Ultra is covered in synthetic leather and has 3D embossed Huawei and nova logos. The back also features an elliptical camera island that houses an LED flash, a laser focus sensor, a 50MP main camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera has a physically variable F/1.4–4.0 aperture with an RYYB color filter array, and the ultra-wide-angle unit has a 112° field of view.

nova 12 Ultra runs HarmonyOS 4 and has up to 1TB of built-in storage. It also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual-band GPS, NFC, and stereo speakers.

The Huawei nova 12 Pro is the nova 12 Ultra with an additional color option, more weight (198g vs 201g) and no faux leather back. The Pro model also has smaller base storage and doesn’t have a 1TB option.

The Huawei nova 12 Ultra comes in 512GB and 1TB storage variants priced at CNY 4,699 ($660/€600) and CNY 5,499 ($770/€700) respectively. The Nova 12 Pro is offered with 256GB and 512GB of internal storage, priced at CNY 3,999 ($560/€510) and CNY 4,399 ($615/€560), respectively.
