For Samsung Galaxy users who have updated to One 6.1 UIPerhaps something very unpleasant is happening: one of the pre-installed applications on your mobile phone cannot be removed.
This is a Secure Folder app that offers users a PIN-protected folder to store personal files.
A Samsung rep confirmed the issue on the Korean Community forum (h/t: Sammy Fans). The representative noted that the inability to delete a protected folder is due to “Google security policies” that were applied to One UI 6.1. The issue affects version 1.9.10.27 of the Secure Folder application.
Samsung has also confirmed that the issue affects the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Tab S9 series updated to One UI 6.1.
In any case, Samsung is working on the One UI 6.1 update so that this issue can be resolved as soon as possible.
