This Wednesday, May 15, Sony updated its mid-range with a new presentation of the Xperia line, consisting of two models: Xperia 10 VI and Xperia 1 VI.
Let’s go step by step:
Xperia 10 VI
The new Sony Xperia 10 VI is lightweight (164 grams), 6.1-inch OLED display with an aspect ratio of 21:9 with Gorilla Glass Victus and IP68 protection.
The Xperia 10 VI also features a 5,000mAh battery, dual front-facing speakers, a 3.5mm port, and microSD card support. Other basic features include a mid-range Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Its screen is perhaps its biggest drawback, as it only reaches 60Hz, unlike competitors in the same range, which today start at 90 or 120Hz, like Samsung Galaxy A35.
Sony uses a 48 MP main camera with 2x zoom. It also features an 8MP (15mm) ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. There’s also a redesigned camera app this time around, though without the pro mode.
Its entry price will be $439.

The new flagship and its capabilities based on artificial intelligence (AI).
One of the new features that Sony has highlighted is the improvements introduced by the new 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
It features BRAVIA Picture Adjustment System and uses AI-powered remastering technology to improve contrast, color and sharpness. In fact, this technology works for both user-captured images and streaming services.
Sony has paid particular attention to the photographic capabilities offered by the Xperia 1 VI, which features a 24mm wide-angle lens equipped with an Exmor T sensor and, together with AI processing, delivers image quality “equivalent to conventional full-frame cameras.” “, the company reports.
In addition, the camera also features a telephoto optical zoom lens with a focal length of 85mm to 170mm for capturing images “at long distances and in high detail” with a x7.1 zoom. Finally, it is complemented by a macro telephoto lens that provides a maximum magnification of approximately 2x and a minimum focusing distance of 4 centimeters.
The new Xperia 1 VI will be available for purchase at the beginning of June and will be released at a price of 1399 euros in black and in a 12 + 256 GB configuration.
