Motorola Edge 50 Ultra was recently launched in Brazil. This Tuesday (21) the company announced: With a recommended price of R$ 5,999, it is the most powerful model in the new series in the country.
With the Edge 50 Ultra, Motorola brings a number of interesting features. It is considered the latest model of this generation and brings the features accepted by the company. The best camera system ever. But the positive points extend to the hardware in general.
It comes with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage. One cool feature that stands out is the ability to expand memory via microSD card, something rare among current top-end models.
As for the battery, we have a capacity of 4,500 mAh and a very powerful 125 W charger. The mobile phone also has induction charging (50 W) and can charge other devices compatible with the same technology (10 W).
But in addition to hardware, Motorola also pays attention to the appearance of the new device. It has different materials and colors than traditional glass, including a wooden version. The bet is even reminiscent of the Moto X, which had a bamboo-coated model.
On the front, there is a 6.7-inch pOLED display with curved corners and Super HD resolution (2712 x 1220p). The same format and screen size is valid for the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion models. However, the Edge 50 Ultra reaches 2,500 nits maximum brightness and features Gorilla Glass Victus.
Other prominent features of the mobile phone include extra network support via eSIM, stereo sound, under-screen fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 7 and Ultra Wideband (UWB) standard support.
Cameras to battle the S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro
The strong appeal of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is its cameras. The company promises similar quality with all lenses used, as well as the launch of a telephoto sensor in the handsets to compete with the Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max.
This is the set adopted by the company:
Mother: 50 MP (84.1°, OIS, f/1.68);
Ultra wide and macro: 50MP (120°, f/2.0);
Telephoto: 64 MP (33.4°, OIS, f/2.4), with 3x optical zoom.
The device reaches 100x zoom despite 3x optical zoom. The general recommendation Motorola explains to us is to give the user the freedom to point the mobile phone and just worry about clicking without thinking about many details. The presence of optical image stabilization is a feature that will guarantee this convenience.
The Edge 50 Ultra also records up to 4K video at 60fps and has a 50MP front camera (90°, f/1.95, and autofocus) that shoots up to 4K movies at 30fps.
