According to a report from TechCrunch, Instagram has added a new in-feed advertising category. User named Dan Levy posted on X (Twitter) Screenshot of an unskippable ad. The application adds a button called Advertising break with timer.
While advertising is Instagram’s bread and butter, this category is the next level of monetization in Meta. Levy mentions that this ad can’t be skipped because disables tape scrolling until the minimum time is reached.
If you click on the information icon on the button, a message will appear with the description: “You are watching a commercial break. Ad breaks are a new way to watch ads on Instagram.
