Classic voice assistant for Samsung mobile phones, Bixbyfor many years a participant in these battles Siri and the famous “Okay, Google” looks like it will have time to update itself before it finally retires.

And the path seems quite logical, since with the advent of AI and Galaxy AIKoreans want to rejuvenate their assistant.

But the riskiest thing is that it will be with our own developments in the field of AI, without dependence on third parties such as Twins from Google or ChatGPT.

Samsung Mobile President TM Roh has confirmed that Bixby will receive generative AI later this year.

Here’s what Roh told CNBC about it: “We’re going to advance Bixby by leveraging Gen AI. We’re strengthening and adding more AI capabilities to our products. As consumers use more AI capabilities, they can really experience the convenience and benefits that it brings. “I firmly believe that Galaxy AI and mobile AI are a strong motivator and driver for people to buy new products.”

This new Bixby could eventually debut in One UI 7, Samsung’s skin for the upcoming Android 15.
