If you’ve been following the news over the past few weeks, you know that Google Pixel 9 Pro was leaked… A lot ofAfter countless leaks that spoiled the phone’s design, specs, and more, Google went ahead and unveiled the phone itself a month before its official launch.
The teaser video, aptly titled “Google Pixel 9 Pro Unveiled,” begins with a demo of Google Gemini, which suggests that Twins will be the focus of the Pixel 9 Pro. We then see the back of the Pixel 9 Pro with the text “Oh hi AI,” followed by the Pixel 9 Pro name and a reminder of its release on August 13.
Our Brief Review Google Pixel 9 Pro matches what we’ve seen in leaksThe phone has rounded corners, flat edges, and a new version of Google’s iconic camera panel. It’s also all but confirmed to have three rear cameras, a flash, and the same temperature sensor that debuted on the Pixel 8 Pro last year.
Thanks to a major camera leak earlier this week, we expect the Pixel 9 Pro to feature a 50MP main camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto lens. We’re also expecting a Tensor G4 chipset, at least seven years of software updates, and a lot of AI: Along with the Pixel 9 Pro, we should also see the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
It’s unclear whether Google will tease more of its phones this way, but one thing is for sure: We won’t have to wait long before we can stop talking about leaks and teasers. The Made by Google event on August 13 is set to reveal everything, and it will be here before you know it.
