Nothing now has an alternative more capable of competing with the formidable Xiaomi: the new nothing Phone (2a) Plus. The company has introduced this variant, which improves the design, camera and performance of the phone (2a), to continue the fight in the mid-price segment. But is it really a competitor to the main mobile phones of the Chinese brand with the best price/quality ratio?
In particular, everything points to the Phone (2a) Plus being available for a maximum of 400 euros. It will thus compete in price with Xiaomi 13Twhich is currently available for €399.99. There is no doubt that the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is the clear winner in this section thanks to its completely different design. The London brand’s smartphone stands out with its transparent backas well as the included lighting system that lights up when the user receives a call or notification. Nothing has improved the appearance of this terminal either, including the aluminum frames, making it look much more premium.

This SoC, aimed at mid-range smartphones, directly competes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, although none of the Xiaomi phones have this model.

There is a clear winner here, and it is not the Nothing mobile phone. The (2a) Plus has an interesting photography section, including updated 50 megapixel front cameraas well as the main camera and ultra-wide-angle sensor of the same resolution. But the Xiaomi 13T has a better photographic part.

The four smartphones being compared offer very interesting specs for their price. For example, the Xiaomi 13T. But the truth is that the other models don’t have anything special to compete with the Phone (2a) Plus, other than charging speed and brightness.
