The Phone (2a), the most balanced mobile phone announced so far by Nothing, has been updated just a few months after its launch. The company founded by Carl Pei, one of the creators of OnePlus, has unveiled Nothing Phone (2a) Plusa new smartphone that retains the essence of the previously presented model, as well as many of its functions, but includes improvements in three key areas: performance, camera and design.
While it may be confusing, Plus isn’t because the Phone (2a) Plus has a larger screen. In fact, the design changes from the model Nothing introduced in March have nothing to do with size.
The new version retains 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, so it has the same dimensions as the phone (2a). The novelties in the aesthetic section concern the finish. The Plus model is available in two different colors: metallic gray and a new shade of black. Their materials also change; now the frame is aluminuminstead of polycarbonate, giving it a more premium look.
On an aesthetic level, the Phone (2a) Plus from Nothing retains its characteristics transparent back with a camera module in the center and the iconic lighting system that the company includes in its products. It lights up when the user receives any notification or an incoming call. It can also be used as a flashlight.
New processor and new front camera.
Another of the most important new features of this phone (2a) Plus is, once again, performance. The smartphone is equipped with a new processor MediaTek Dimensity 7350 accompanied by 12 GB of RAM which can be expanded up to 20GB via virtual RAM. And all this thanks to a 5,000mAh battery that the brand claims provides up to 21.9 hours of video viewing.
In the Nothing photo section, only the selfie camera has been updated, including new 50 megapixel sensors (compared to the 32-megapixel camera included in the previous model). Therefore, it supports a dual main camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor and an ultra-wide-angle sensor of the same resolution.
Finally, the (2a) Plus phone has arrived Nothing OS 2.6 as standard, which includes various customization options and additional settings to improve the user experience, such as integration with ChatGPT.
Price and availability of Nothing Phone (2a) Plus
Phone “Nothing” (2a) Plus It won’t go on sale until September.the company confirmed. However, in London, some lucky people will be able to purchase it on August 3 at the Nothing store.
The price for the only variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is 399 pounds, which in return is around €473. However, it is likely that the Phone (2a) Plus will arrive in Spain at a lower price. In fact, in the UK the difference between the base model and the new version is only £50.
Considering that in Spain the Phone (2a) was released for 329 euros, it would not be strange to see this Plus version for 400 euros. We will have to wait until September to find out the real price in Spain and other markets.
