There are only a few weeks left until the expected launch of the new Samsung smartphone. Samsung Galaxy S24 FEThere have been a lot of positive rumors about this “fan edition” model at the moment.
According to newly published certificates (seen by Tech Outlook), Samsung’s next phone is expected to feature 25W wired charging, just like its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE. This could be a downside for the Galaxy S24 FE, especially when compared to other mid-range phones like the OnePlus 12Rwhich provides a significantly higher charging speed of 80 W.
The certifications also confirm previous rumors about the new phone. For example, the S24 FE is expected to support Wi-Fi 6E (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, 5G, LTE, and GSM. The Galaxy S24 FE will also support reverse charging up to 9W.
The upcoming Galaxy S24 FE is rumored to feature a Samsung Galaxy Exynos 2400 chipset, a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits peak brightness, and an aluminum body similar to last year’s model. Lastly, the phone is expected to be available in five colors at launch: Graphite, Blue, Silver White, Green, and Yellow, along with two additional colors exclusive to Samsung’s website that are likely to be announced.
Samsung released the Galaxy S23 FE last year. However, mid-range FE models don’t always come with a warranty, and the release dates are confusing. For example, the Galaxy S23 FE was released in October 2023, but there was no Galaxy S22 FE. The Galaxy S21 FE came out in January 2022, and the Galaxy S20 FE came out in September 2020.
The Galaxy S FE models typically include many, but not all, of the features found in the more expensive regular Galaxy S models from last year.
All indications are that the Galaxy S24 FE will be released in late September or early October. It should be priced around $600. Stay tuned.
