Oppo has finally launched its new flagship mobile phones in China. Find X8 and Find X8 Protwo smartphones that emulate an Apple-style camera shutter button that supports swiping to zoom in and out.

These devices are equipped with the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, Hasselblad branded cameras, wireless charging support, notification slider, and IP68 and IP69 ratings. But now the company has revealed that the two devices also share 80W wired charging speeds and 50W wireless charging, although it only offers 33W wired speeds through PPS chargers.

The Find X8 series is also compatible with OPPO Mag’s so-called magnetic accessory ecosystem, albeit through an additional case. OPPO Mag accessories include an ultra-thin power bank, an 80W 20,000mAh power bank, and a 50W wireless charger with a cooling fan.

The most notable innovation for photography enthusiasts is the tool for erasing reflections in photos.

The phones also offer something called Shadowless Snapshot feature. The company says you just have to raise your hand to take blur-free photos, instead of using a special snapshot mode. The company compared this feature to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, as shown in the image above. Other notable features of the camera include higher quality Live Photos, a so-called soft-light portrait mode, and three photo styles/profiles to simulate film images.

The Pro model also stands out with its front camera: OPPO says it has two periscope cameras: a 50MP 3x (f/2.6) and a 50MP 6x (f/4.3). The rest of the rear camera system consists of a 50MP primary camera with f/1.6 aperture and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens (120-degree field of view). The 32 MP camera will take care of selfies and video calls.

The company has also implemented an Apple-style camera shutter button. Liked button iPhone 16This camera key supports both tapping to shoot and swiping to zoom in and out.

The initial launch of the Find X8 series will only take place in China, but OPPO has just confirmed that the phones will be hitting global markets “soon”.

“Through ongoing collaboration with customers around the world, OPPO hopes to expand the availability of its upcoming flagship Find X8 series in overseas markets,” the company explained in an emailed press release. This is great news as we praise the China-exclusive Find X6 Pro and Find X7 Ultra as two of the best camera phones in the world.

The Find X8 starts at RMB 4,199 (~$590) in China for the 12GB/256GB model, while the Find X8 is priced in China. These phones are also available in 512GB and 1TB models.
